Sergeant Harvey Daniel Williamson

Harvey Daniel Williamson was born to Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Williamson on September 6, 1916. He was raised in Keota Oklahoma and graduated from Keota HS in 1937, entering NMAMC the next fall. He attended for one year before leaving school.

In April 1941 he entered service with the US Army and was assigned to the 3rd Chemical Company, Philippine Department.

Stationed on Corregidor Island, they resisted until surrender on May 6, 1942. It is reported that he died the following day, May 7, 1942 while a prisoner of the Japanese. His remains are buried at the Keota Oklahoma Cemetery. He was 25 years of age at the time of his death.
